Paxton's Finance Committee approved a $9,175.67 reserve fund transfer to pay for a fire ladder truck repair. Fire Chief Mike Vincitore said the truck failed a pump test in September and that a $33,000 quote was beaten by a $10,000 repair, leaving his account "in the hole" about $18,000 on the truck. The reserve fund, at $47,950, drops to roughly $38,000.

The committee also raised legal services to $30,000, set the tree warden budget at $20,000 and added $250 for Economic Development Commission mailings, all unanimously. It held the MIS, Town Insurance and Employee Benefits budgets, leaving a projected deficit of about $410,000.
