Finance Committee · Meeting of March 11, 2026

PAXTON — The Finance Committee approved a string of FY27 budget lines and held three others Wednesday. DPW Director Travis Debo presented highway, snow and ice, and cemetery budgets held to a 2.5 percent increase, saying the department remained two positions short and had cut guardrail funding from $10,000 to zero. The committee approved $241,073 for town insurance and $2,000 for the Charter Review Committee.

It held waste collection after a staff member said the trash fee will "have to go up" to fund the new contract. A member also flagged a $42,803 variance in the revenue workbook that could deepen the deficit.
