Paxton Select Board set a June 22 special town meeting and formed a panel to track Anna Maria College's closure. Members unanimously elected Julia N. Pingitore chair, Jeffrey Wentzell vice chair and Christopher Curtis clerk, then ratified a firefighters contract through June 2028.

Member Peter Bogren Jr. pushed the board to study regionalizing police, fire, DPW and library services. DPW Director Travis Thiebaud outlined a $1,443,000 USDA loan, capped at 4.75 percent interest, to rebuild the West Street water main, with water rates rising about 2 percent this year.
